We hope it has been a busy and successful summer in your area. Things have been hectic for Digi-Cool,
the DRSA-1100 is being received very well. We missed writing and sharing with you! As you sit down and
assess how you've done this year, have you considered how efficiently you are working?
With the DRSA-1100, you can charge an AC system 33% faster!* With its real-time
superheat display, charging and topping off by superheat has never been simplier.

When considering torches for refrigeration/air conditioning service, don't eliminate oxy/acetylene
simply because you think it's too hot or over kill. Oxy/Acetylene is a very effective way to save
time, money and components. Since it works so quickly, you virtually eliminate the possibility of
damaging sensitive components by overheating with other slower heating torches. If you work quickly,
the heat does not flow far enough to reach the sensitive components.
The beauty of oxy/acetylene is the quick and clean heating method. Once you get the hang of it,
you will never go back to air assisted torches again. With a large variety of sizes and applications
in oxy/acetylene, they are virtually as light and easy to transport as turbo torches. One other method
is to utilize Mapp® gas in place of acetylene to save money. The heating value is similar to that of
acetylene, at a fraction of the cost. Try it, you'll like it, and so will your pocket book.
New Discussion Paper: Profiting with Modern AC/R Gauges
Profiting with Modern AC/R Gauges highlights many typical situations seen by AC/R service workers,
and how the DRSA speeds up and simplifies the work. Based on these savings, we illustrate that using a DRSA saves so much time,
it's like doing one extra week of business each year!

When evacuating a new system prior to start up, it is always advisable to use an accurate
vacuum gauge. But if one is not available, the DRSA-1100 is extremely accurate compared to
analog gauges. The analyzer reads vacuums at roughly 0.3"Hg resolution, much better than traditional
analog needle guages. The DRSA-1100 can be used in day-to-day servicing of
moisture-free systems with confidence, as a good indicator of rough vacuum levels.
If you have a system that climbs in head pressure over a period of time, and you want to know how much it
climbs in a certain period, the MAX/MIN pressure tracking feature in the the DRSA-1100 can tell you.
But here is a trick I have used with the BTD-1000. Simply 'ZERO' the readout
at stable operation, go do another service call and come back an hour or two later. If the high
pressure readout was 250 psig when you pressed "ZERO', and it shows 35 psig when you return, then the pressure has climbed
35 psi while unattended. You can ZERO the unit at any reading and recieve a relative readout within the
acceptable range. Should the pressure drop more then 15 psi, the display will flash as the DRSA thinks you have
gone beyond a perfect vacuum! After using this trick, don't forget to ZERO the analyzer again before you start the next job.

Do you have a story about how the analyzer helped
you on the job? Tell us! We may put it in our next newsletter,
or post it on the testimonials page of our web site.

your story here.
As you can see, pressure fluctuations tell a lot about how the
system is running. See them clearly with the analyzer! Take

Appearances Matter!
Once a very wise man said that "Attraction by example rather than promotion" is the most effective method
to get people to follow you. We spend a great deal of time in the HVACR industry talking about first
costs and bottom line price. When we do that, we bring focus to our own bottom line costs. If we, as
service people, come onto the premises looking neat, clean and present ourselves professionally, the
focus can then be on the customer's needs, and the value of reliable AC or refrigeration service.
One of the best ways to portray that level of sophistication is to show up with visibly modern tools.
We take our service vehicles to dealerships and repair facilities, and we think nothing of paying top
prices for service people to hook up computers to our trucks and vans to diagnose and optimize their
operation. Few people shop around for the best service rates for their vans or trucks; have you
considered why they shop around for AC/R work?
In the last decade, we in the HVAC/R industry have had to deal with many new concepts, refrigerants
and procedures that required a huge leap in training and diagnostic complexity. By suiting up and
presenting ourselves as knowledgeable and sophisticated, customers will be less prejudice and will be
less likely to undermine your credibility or dismiss your professional recommendations.

RSES Annual Conference 2004
At the RSES Expo on September 30, we met many leading-edge technicians. The DRSA-1100 was very well
received, and we got great feedback to consider for new products. Thanks to everyone for visiting.
More in THE NEWS on the Analyzer
We got another great mention in the Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration News ("THE NEWS"). In the August 23 issue, one feature article is Innovative Products for HVAC Contractors.
The Digi-Cool DRSA-1100 analyzer was one of three products featured.
Congratulations to the winner!
Dung Truong of Clarkston, GA was the lucky winner of a BTD-1000 analyzer from the August draw.
Enter our next draw for a chance to win an analyzer for the coming spring!
